I did exactly that with my G35S. I did have the upgraded sport package (suspension) and a plenum spacer, but that makes it pretty much stock.

I was surprised how well the car performed when pushed hard.
It did great and was very easy to drive.

 

.. Im interested in going, and April is far enough away to plan accordingly. So ill add my name to the list and read the entire thread (here and s2k) for the details.

I was disappointed that I missed Laguna Seca, but had to put money aside for new tires (and wheels - might as well) - But I relived the experience through the great pictures that were taken at the event.

Also, Clint (or whomever), can I bring along my corvette friend?

hey all...

just wanted to mention if u're gonna get anything done to your car prior to the event, start early. that means don't wait the week before to change oil, brake fluid, what not. don't want anyone foregoing sleep to work on their cars. *cough* *Clint* *cough*

the only thing i'm gonna leave for the night before will be the brake pads.
i hope to have everything taken care of before that.

also, on another note.
someone asked me about the Motordyne ISO-THERMAL kit a few days ago.
I MUST RECOMMEND that anyone running a stock plenum DEFINITELY get this kit prior to the event.

after running HARD at Laguna Seca, i came back popped the hood and put both hands on the plenum.
Room temperature baby.
the kit is fuggin AMAZING!
Me and Alex were just standing there all smiles.

Non G-drivers came up to us and asked "WTF are u guys doing?"
We told them that we were running a kit that kept the intake temps cooler than stock.
They touched the plenum and were giving us the O_O face.

After a few high fives we were back on the track rippin $hit up.

Once again, CAN'T WAIT FOR APRIL.
