Question New Tires - '05 Sedan

Okay everyone. I need to know a good performance tire THAT CAN STICK TO THE STREETS!!!!!!! Infiniti does not know how to put a real performance tire THAT CAN GRIP when those of us get a vehicle with the SPORTS PACKAGE!!!!!

I can spin the tires on my car all the way thru 3rd gear. Also, I am afraid to take a high speed turn since I know my car will not stick to the road. It is way too frustrating.

Please let me know what kind of tires you sedan folks are putting onto your car.

Thanks
Stephen

I'm sticking with either Dunlop Direzzas or BFG KDW2s... Yokohama Advan Sports are pretty good too if you don't mind spending the extra money...

Question Discount Tire

Okay, I went to Discount Tire on Saturday (June 12th) and the store manager wants to sell me Kumho Ecsta SPT 235/45R-18 98W XL B. The purchase with all four tires would be $642.00. That tire cost $136.00 each.

Where are places people are buying tires at here in Houston?

Here is a link to that website

http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/fin...d=18&ar=45&ct=

Please provide me your thoughts.

Thanks
Stephen

Those are actually pretty good tires. We have them on our 2001 Altima. Good grip and quiet. Very good for a cheap tire.

I was pretty happy when I first bought my Kuhmos. But they wore pretty quick and became noisey. They lasted around 1 year before I had to replace one pair. Pretty soon the other pair wore down to the belts. So I upgraded to the Pirellis. They were more than twice the price, but a much better tire.

Well, I have to figure out where I'm going to keep the tires that are on the car at the present time when I get new ones. I will not make the change until the front bumper is fixed.

Besides that, I do not drive my car much. I've had it for 8 months and it does not even have 6,000 miles on it. Over 1,500 were from a road trip to Boerne, TX & San Marcos, TX.

You might as well be driving a Camary the way you drive! I have had my G35 Sedan for three years and three months. Purchased used with 18,000 miles..... Now I'm at 79,000 miles. These cars are meant to be driven. What are you doing with a G35? Just looking at it? Drive the hell out of it and enjoy it man.....

Uh, I DO love THIS G vs the POS '03.5 I had. Remember, I live one mile, or less, from where I work. I drove it to San Marcos this morning to run over to the Outlet location and then drove back to Houston. It was about a two hour run on each location. I paid $3.14 per gallon in Houston. I paid $2.92 per gallon in Seguin on the way back. Also, remember that the G drivers in Houston do not like to meet up with one another to have some fun?

Oh yeah, WHI has a person who can take care of the interior rattel noise. It's not a quiet ride where ever I go. I just wish I could hear the motor at times. LOL

I have had Nittos, Falkens, and Goodyears on my cobra. I have Michelin Pilot sports on my G, and they are pretty good.

The best hands down was the Goodyear GSD3 on my Snake! It would stick 485 ft lbs of torque in first gear as well as handle in the rain.
