does anyone know any good shops that can do this for a good price and specializes in lowered cars? I ran into my fair share of careless people, shops before and would like to totally avoid doing business with them ever again. Also will they give me a better price if i supply them with an oil filter?

Dido, I do it myself. A little of bit a hassel but at least you know your get a new filter and you dont have to tell the stupid tech that you don't want to purchase new airfilter.

North Houston Infiniti does a great job. I only had one problem there, but they took care of it promptly.

What part of Houston are u interested in? I live in SW and I just take mine to the Mr. Carwash to get it changed. There's no ramps or anything u have to go over. They have underground bays to where they just drive ur car over their hole and change it from there. I think it's about $30 and they'll send u $5 coupons every month. They also give u a free carwash coupon. And NO, i do not use it for my car. I end up givin it to a friend that needs a carwash.

Same here. All I had to do was point out the problem and they took care of it w/o any hassles. The dealer is kind of far from my house so I will probably do my own oil changes once my 2yr free service is up. I don't care where you go, nobody is going to baby your car over an oil change. It's a slim profit, low skill business so speed is the priority.

Sw
Go to SouthWest Houston at 59 Frwy and Belt 8...ask for Jeff Huynh to do it...I know him personally...and he'll hook you up right.

For me this is what I do:

1.Buy Oil filter at Nissan dealer ask for the 350Z filter.
2. Walmart and buy 5 quarts of Mobile synthetic oil.
3. Take to Jeff and labor is $18 clams.

It will cost you around $45 clams...but then you have to think that you are driving a $40K ride....so its up to you.

I don't trust no place except the dealer...if anything goes wrong you can complain and they'll fix it w/o charge...any other places you are screwed.

Since Infiniti does them free for the first two years, I'll let them do it.

I change my own on my Lightning, I use Mobil-1 in it.

I just got mine at the dealer. switched to mobil-1 synthetic. The guy that pulled my car up started throwing revs, and I was like wtf is he doing? He said there was a red blinking light, and he was about to go to a assistant service manager to tell him about the "problem". It was the rev light blinking, and I explained to him how it worked on the MT.
