Hey all: I recently installed test pipes along w/ other NA mods on my G.

In a few months, I am building the bottom end and going TT.

How does one get smoged in Houston? Do you need to find a "buddy" working at the Firestone, or something of that nature, or is passing emmissions easy in the Lone Star State?

Ive never been smogged in Texas. Only OBD II, and passed every time with non-foulers on my mustang with test pipes

Doesn't it depend on the county you're in? My car is registered in Harris County and I have to have it inspected here and they put a sniffer in my tailpipe every time. I had a car registered in montgomery county once and they didn't sniff the pipes. Of course that's about 5 years back.

Of course if you have a friend and they're up to breaking the law, they just put the sniffer up to a different car and bypass yours.

Bad,

That is probably what I will do. I am having a buddy look into it for me.

The V-Pro sets my CEL off.

They only put sniffers on cars that are model year 97 or older afaik. Everything after that has OBDII and no need for sniffers. I have had it tested in Harris and Fort Bend counties, never had a sniffer test.
