I am in the process of picking up a spacer myself. After talking to countless members on the board as well as my other enthusiast friends, I am going to get the 5/16 iso-thermal spacer. In the long run, the iso-thermal spacer is going to last longer as well as keeping the engine heat from taking away any performance gains that would adversely effect it. Also, I noticed in your signature that you have an 03 coupe as do I. From what I understand, the MREV does not give you significant performance gains unless you own a rev-up motor which I believe is 05 and up. Just do a quick search and you will find tons of information on this subject. In all honesty, I would do it quick before the search GODS on this board decide to smite you! LOL

G'luck.

ISO thermal is for cars that will be driven in the cold weather. It heats the throttle body to prevent freezing.

Ok, Isothermal is a gasket that slows the heat transfer from the motor to the plenum......get the 5/16 w/isothermal. It will also come with a coolant bypass valve that will let you turn off the coolant to your throtlebody. Here in SA we don't need hot coolant running through the throttlebody.

This stealth modification adds 11HP-13HP and reduces the effect of power robbing heat soak.

Straight from the manufacturer...where as you might be partially true, no where on their website to they site the iso-thermal modification to heat the throttle body.

Multiple independent test show when used with a 5/16" spacer on the REVUP engine, the combination will add a "minimum" of 15+ HP and 18+ TQ in the upper midrange. Many independent MREV REVUP tests have dynod in excess of 20HP and 30 TQ in the upper midrange and with high RPM peak power increased by 3-5 HP.

Hope you can still return the MREV2...if not I think we might see it in the marketplace soon.

Yeah I didn't get the MREV2 because I didn't want to run lean...and from what I read...because you have the HKS you may run lean and will need that ECU reflash...you may want to check w Devon on that one...you might also want to call Motordyne to get their opinion...they may still make the MREV+ which only has 2 ports polished which may reduce the chances of your engine running lean...as opposed to 4 ports polished on the MREV2...again I have read all this on the forum so I would call Motordyne to confirm...by the way I will have your z tube at the Thursday meet...

Your thinking of the Copper ISO Thermal spacer. that is the one for cold weather.
