We all tend to speed every now and then. But like speed munkey said the weather has been pretty crappy down here and I hate just to drive the G in this weather, much less speed.
But I'm sure most of us would street race back in the day and its something hard to get out of ur system. For me it was 35 days in jail and i pretty much snapped that it isnt worth it. To bad for this guy he didnt get that chance.....
On the road he was on its hard not to open it up though especially at that time of night...

That's really sucks....My condolences go out to the families....
It's a lesson for all of us no matter how good the car's handling is or performance there can be repercussions to our actions....this reminds me of an email my gf sent me about a girl who took her dad's porsche 911 and completely wrecked it and died...the graphic pics it showed should be enough to wake anyone up..granted the girl was drunk but nonetheless the end result is still the same...
for those of you who wish to street race (i'm not absolved b/c i've done it before when i was younger)...take it on the track.....your life is more precious than mere street credit or pride....if you want to enjoy your car or move up to bigger and better cars...think WISELY!! There is NOTHING TO PROVE!

Oh my gosh! may they rest in peace!
I have two Uncles who are professional race car drivers, another one who is racing in heaven, died of old age and another Uncle who used to race motorcyles. I grew up playing in race tracks and as a kid, we were allowed to drive around the race tracks obviously when not in use, and drive as fast as we could at the time... which I'm sure wasn't too fast. It was fast to me then - I was between the ages of 9 thru about 16. We were taught road safety and how to safely get out of a bad situation, how to correct fishtails, rolling, etc.etc.
Money is an issue for a lot of people, but my friends and I "rent" race tracks like up here in Northern Cali. Here's the info for Infineon raceway. We pool our money together and we race around the track till our hearts desire! The race track provides all of the medical information, safety, etc, click on the link and you'll see the details. No money in the world would ever bring these 2guys back, but for a little bit of money, pool your money together with your friends and rent a racetrack. It's safer.
That's why when I'm on the freeways and see all these idiots tailgating at 70mph, I just back off and shake my head and pray that the person they're tailgating won't have to make a sudden stop. Or I get out of their way and let them kill themselves. Most Northern Cali drivers do not know how to drive and that's one of the scariest things on the road.
Anyway, just a thought for anybody who doesn't know.
