wasn't aware of that post. I got a call earlier and was told it was imports. I'll check again and make sure.

Can't wait for the drive. It'll be great to meet up with old friends and meet some of the folks on this forum in person. My dear friend Rob in his 300ZX Twin Turbo may also join us. He is working on a RB20DET swap into a 240SX but I am trying to pry him away from that project to join the rally.

Liv, I am sorry for not responding to you sooner - I have ben in Dallas all week and just returned home. Yes, it is one of the 300ZX TTs from the second Stampede. It's the ivory white (I think that's the name) one who led us down Lime Creek, not the black one.

I wanted to keep everyone up to date. Livyathan is checking one more time with the owner in the morning, but it looks like we WILL be allowed to go down to New Braunfels for the Dyno day. I will keep you all posted in the morning when I hear something, so CHECK back! If this is the case we will most likely head back for the mall when we are done driving, talk a little bit and then head south for the Shop. If this is the case we may just grab a bite to eat on the way out of town somewhere or get lunch in New Braunfels.

Current list of cars: 2 G35's, 2 or 3 Z's, and 3 or 4 M3's, KEEP THEM COMING!!

If so, here is the plan:

Planned Schedule and Route Directions

7:30 – 7:45 Meet near Abuelos at the Barton Creek Mall.
7:45 – 8:00 Take pictures and chat
8:00 – 9:30 DRIVE!
9:30 – 9:45 Meet back at the mall
10:00 Head for the DYNO day in New Braunfels for whoever is interested.

Final directions (as of now) are as follows. I will still bring a printed copy on Sunday.

Leave Barton Creek Mall and head north on Mopac (1)
Exit Mopac and head West on 2222
Continue West on 2222 across 620, road will change names to Bullick Hollow Road Continue West on Bullick Hollow Road until it dead ends into Anderson Mill Road
Turn Left (south) onto Anderson Mill Road (2769) , name will change to Lime Creek
Drive Lime Creek, Drive Lime Creek, keep driving Lime Creek!!!
Lime Creek will Dead End into Anderson Mill Road
Turn Left onto Anderson Mill Road and continue until it hits Whitestone Blvd (1431)
Turn Right on Whitestone Blvd (1431) and continue for approx 2 Miles
Turn right onto 183 south, and continue for approx 7.5 Miles
Exit 183 (Research Blvd) and head South East on Spicewood Springs Road
Continue for around 1.5 miles and then turn left onto Old Spicewood Springs Road.
NOTE!!! There are 3 dips on Old Spicewood that could cause you to bottom out, watch out for these!! They all occur at a creek crossing.
Stay on Old Spicewood Springs Road until you reach 360 (Capital of Texas)
Turn Right onto Capital of Texas Highway and head south for around 7.1 miles
Take the Bee Caves (2244) exit and head right (west)
Turn Left onto Barton Creek Blvd (at the light)
Continue on Barton Creek Blvd for approx 2.5 miles then
Turn Left onto Lost Creek Blvd. Continue on Lost Creek Blvd until you get to 360
Turn Right on 360 and head back for the mall.

Look for my Black/Black G35 Sedan 6mt.

No problem Turk, I am counting you in the 2 or 3 Z's number. If you want I can say 1 X and a couple Z's!

Thanks, KK2FAST4U. I just wanted you to know I wasn't driving a G or Z.

Sure, you can call me X, as in the mysterious Racer X

if Rob's bringing his white 300 everyone look out. he knows how to push that car. I couldn't keep up with him on Lime Creek. no one could. he left everyone. I'll see if I can do better this time since I've got more experience with it

Hey guys, safety comes first, so please try to prepare your car and yourself before the drive. Some suggestions:

- Make sure your tires have a minimum tread of 3/32 of an inch.
- Check tires pressures - adjust based on your driving style (I usually up the pressure 3-5 psi for more aggressive driving
- Ensure your car's brakes are working perfectly i.e. rotors, pads, fluid level
- Make sure your spare tire is inflated to proper pressure
- Re-torque lug nuts to recommended rate
- Bring a cell phone
- Have a fire extinguisher in your car
- Arrive at the meeting point with a full tank of gas

and, most importantly,

- Drive at your own skill level. Don't try to keep up with faster drivers. There will ALWAYS be faster drivers than you. It's not worth risking your life and health or your car in the shop for several weeks not to mention increased insurance costs.
- Get a good night of rest tonight for maximum alertness.

For more tips, check out the Participant Guide at the Raging Bull Texas Stampede web site at: http://www.rbtexasstampede.com/guide.html (some items don't apply for this drive)

Don't forget your FRS radios!

called around and looks like, if anyone wants to make the trip down to New Braunfels, we'll still be able to get on the dyno. that's good news as I've needed to get back on it for a while.
