I may make it. Depends on the fiance's mood. (she's visiting that weekend and that day is actually her birthday). Starbucks is like 2 minutes from my house. I live in Sweet water (parents until 08-06-05
)

bad news cato. I have everything set up with turk to be there friday night but I damaged part of my exhaust in our drive sunday. I went in after work today to assess the damage. I've got 2 reinforcement braces on the left resonator cracked, the right pipe is bent pulling the exhaust tip inward and one of the bolt holding the midpipe to muffler on the right broke. it was rattling terribly and I had a huge exhaust leak. I replaced the bolts and tightened the rest but I've still got an exhaust leak. and as for the cracked braces, they have to bo TIG welded. I know the owner of the dyno we went to and I'm going back to his shop this weekend. we're going to put it up on a lift and reweld all the braces. so until I get back there, I've got a slight rattle on cold starts and two small exhaust leaks. it sucks but I've got to get it fixed. also I think I blew out one of my resonators. on the dyno it started blowing the fiberglass out that everyone complains about with the Injen. I even got it on video

OK, the day is approaching quickly. Let's all try to be at the starting point before 8:00 am so we can coffee up, discuss the route. etc. etc.
The earlier we leave, the less traffic we encounter and the sooner we eat breakfast at Le Peep.
Bring:
2-way radios if you have them
plenty of gas
car in good operating condition
money or credit card for Le Peep
bottle of water?
Digital camera
Let's go!

Seriously! The day before I drove up to Austin to drive the "Ragin' Bull Texas Stampede II" I noticed that a bolt was sticking out of my drivers side front tire. So I bought a pair of Pirelli PZeros to replace the two front tires. Had I not noticed the bolt in the tire, I probably would have been killed in the for sure tire blow out doing 110 mph in the Hill Country. Since the turns on the way to BBSP allow high speeds, make sure your car can actually do what we are planning on doing. Nuff said!
I think it can handle it...I've only got 11K miles on it...so i think i'm ok...besides i'll slow if i need to....that's why i'll bring up the rear!
Hmm...tires though...I'll have to check the rears tread thickness on them...i think they should be ok though...

One more thing to be sure to bring: bring a cell phone.
All those planning on coming, please PM me and give me your cell phone number.
In case we are ready to leave Starbucks without a full count of who is coming,
I can call you and ask if you are running late, or not coming at all.
It is also handy to have the cell number in case we loose you during the drive.
If you plan on coming and cannot be contacted after 8:00 am, you will be left behind.
I already have YoungTurk's and Infinite1's numbers.
