You are right, I forgot to add that, Billy is great at working with you if you want to do Mods, and he can get a lot of stuff for really good prices. He also has some good connections with some tuning shops in town as well.

Quote: If I remember correctly they place the orders 3rd week of the month.
I just went through this last weekend - 1st week of the month the orders go out. As was mentioned, they are not willing to deal, but I could not find an '05 anywhere in the system since I want the extra 1.3" of headroom which means no options. Hopefully the '06 will get here before the end of the year.

So, Grubbs had it delivered right to your house? They don't have to ship it to the dealer? How much to ship it?

I would definately rather buy locally, I just won't pay that price when I can go out of state and get one a lot cheaper. That's good to hear that they ranked so high in service. They were real nice to me. I look really young so usually they don't come out and talk because they don't think I'm serious or have money or whatever, but they came right out to help me. That's major points in my book. I'll definately try and get them to deal or match the best offer before I finalize an out of state purchase.

Hey Ed, my dealer was Todd, great guy and no BS. Owns a G himself. Go talk to him if you want too. I liked him the best out of the ones there, I went by a few times to get a feel for all the dealers before I picked one to buy from.

I considered Grubbs before I bought mine too, but I thought it was worth paying a little higher price for the great in house service.

Ed, I had the Tint & Trim factory (Jefferson just east of I-25) put a 3M clear bra on my G35C after I bought the car. I was told that they install the clear bras for Garcia. They did the bumper and mirror backs for $300.

If you buy the car from Garcia have them throw the 3M clear bra in with the purchase price, I got them to do it, saved a few hundred bucks. Like I said, this is what makes getting the car from Garcia a decent option compared to the price you might be paying.

Quote: Speaking as a customer, Garcia Infiniti is an outstanding dealership for service and they are (unofficially) mod friendly, especially with Billy Scribner, who can--and does--do just about anything with the G. Speaking as editor in chief of Sport Z Magazine, we have one of Billy's/Garcia's cars, a heavily modified G35 Coupe, slated for an upcoming issue.

That said, you probably won't get much in the way of discounts, especially on an '06. Personally, I got my G35 from Grubbs as they are a big supporter of the magazine. The buying process was simple, super quick, and the car showed up at my door a few weeks later. Great deal, too.

Garcia, on the other hand, has been ranked among the top Infiniti dealers in the US for service, and I imagine they give preferred treatment to all their buyers (which could be especially important to those who decide to modify their cars). Even the dealer himself, Carlos, warms up once you get to know him.

Either way you win. I'd definitely recommend Grubbs if your local dealer was a pain in the rear, but that's not the case with Garcia. Who knows: mention that some editor in chief dude from Sport Z Magazine sent you and you might even score a small discount (seriously, do it)... See you all in the waiting room. I'm the guy thumbing through a stack of car magazines.
I have to agree with this, they have always been great with their service, true I could have looked around for a better deal, I prefer to stay local, I did okay, and I do like the service. I bought my '05 through Mark Hanke and Shane, the sales manager, and I would recommend them. And Billy is great, always has been very helpful IMO! I'll be the guy eating a cookie! Also, I too got my tint, 3M Scotchgard and pinstripe at the Tint & Trim Factory, (this time, Garcia included it in the price, with the exception of the bumper). I've had 5 vehicles done by them in the last 12 years. Both G's were through Garcia, except for the bumper on my '05. I'm a happy buyer there! I'll keep my eye out for you Dave, I'm the G with the Disabled Vet plate, can't miss that, LOL!

Quote: You'll have to contact Grubbs about the shipping cost. One caveat. Once you buy the car from Grubbs, it's all yours. No pre-inspection. Which means its yours as it travels on a big truck across Texas to your home. So if anything happens (rock chip, dirty interior, whatever), it's then between you and the trucking company. Infiniti, Grubbs or corporate, is out of the picture.

I've talked to Todd at Garcia Infiniti and he would also be the one I'd recommend. You'll be in excellent hands.
That's a huge thing to take into consideration, how many times have you bought a car, and got it home and noticed a scratch or something out of place? Good luck if you get one delivered and notice something the next day after you've signed for it, with Garcia, you can just shoot the car back over and they'll take care of it!

Thanks guys. Yeah, that is a big thing to consider. We'll see. I still have at least a couple months before I can buy so maybe they'll be more willing to deal a little since it'll be closer to the end of the year. I would most definately rather buy local too.

We have been cofirmend for November delivery for '06 coupes (AT and 6MT). We sold the first two this weekend. The release is a lot earlier than last year because most dealers are running really low right now. I wiggle a little on the coupes, but we only earn about 5 a month and most of them are sold before they get here. At the end of the day, you are not going to pay more here than anywhere else. But, like Tom and Dave said, we are here to back you up if there is a problem with the car. We also get your license plate right away and you don't have to deal with shipping and miles on the car. I take every coupe I can get...you never know what the production schedule is going to be like.

The guys at Garcia irritate the **** out of me, but it could just be me.

I'm not a fan of the way it takes me 20 minutes before anyone offers me any help, and how poor the attitude of a certain service member was when dealing with an issue that I had with the car's warranty. I don't think that it would be easy to get anything fixed under warranty here, without a lot of hassle.

Wow, your bringing a 3yr old thread back from the dead. Alot of personnel may have changed in that time. I've never had an issue with Garcia though.
