GB on Iso Thermal gasket and plenum spacers
For any of you who didn't know about it....there is a Group Buy on the Motordyne Plenum Spacers and Iso Thermal gaskets plus Coolant Control Valve going on on My350z.com. You can get the entire upgrade or if you already have the Plenum Spacer, you can buy the Iso Thermal gasket plus Coolant Control Valve alone for $58 including shipping. I have already ordered my gasket and control valve......

robbdog is also on the fence with this one.....if he goes for it he may be interested in doing it at the same time, so there would be three of us doing the group install. if we do this, your G would probably be first since it would be cold and less chance of stripped threads from a too hot engine.......

Read the post on the technical forum from the G owner who has already done this mod. He states that the plenum is "as cool as a cucumber" after a long drive. This MUST mean more HP....colder air in = more HP. This is a must have mod IMO......

I'm game..order is in. I am very interested to see any dyno results from this - apparently coming out in Z magazine soon?
Perhaps can arrange an install day for the Houston crew?

Andy,
Maxpower and I had planned on a group install.....now it seems he may not purchase. What do you say we do it togeather? I have the torque wrench that is calibrated in inch/pounds, so we are good to go on tools!
I have also found a fantastic streatch of Fort Bend county road with some great twisties....It ends up athe the Swinging Door in Richmond, one of the areas best Bar-B-que. Group install, short drive on twisties and BBQ lunch?

sounds good, but thinking about it, it could be problematic, because this needs to be a cold install (if one of us drives to do the install, the engine will be hot).
But I definately want to check out the twisties - I also found a nice area - it's out before Sealy South of I-10. Perhaps we can do the installs, then meet up? I am very interested to see how this performs. I do not expect any additional HP, but I do expect more usable HP. ie: we run hot here in Tx, and the cooler you can run, the more useful HP you get out of the motor. I really notice the difference when the air temp is even 10deg cooler.
Let me know when your arrives and we can coordinate. I just got shipping notification yesterday of mine.
Do you know what the scoop is on this new Motordyne development is (being covered in the Z magazine release)?

Andy,
How did you get shipping notification? Tony mentioned that shipping would take place mid October.......One of us could drop the G off at the others house the night before.

Just sent Tony $58 via paypal for the thermal upgrade. I would still like to do the install together, we just need to work out the timing. I will post if I get some type of shipping notification like Andy mentioned."One of us could drop the G off at the others house the night before" we live in the same general area so this might be a good idea.........
