Drag strip run anyone?

Hello Folks!!

I wanted to see if anyone is interested in going to the 1/8th or 1/4 miles in the Houston area sometime in January? I would love to see what my car is able to run on either of those tracks in the Houston area.

Just a thought but, I will take mine within January or February to see what it will do.

Stephen

Also, if you have done a run, what did you launch at? 3,000 to 3,500? I've only done the tracks with my old G and it had an auto. trans and tires that could not grip. Also, I know it runs quicker with the rears locked vs unlocked.

I heard they were lengthening HMP. I'd like to run my 04S AT just for the hell of it. We'll be at HRP on Feb. 4th with the drag car. I think anyone can run at that time. You Houston guys are so lucky to have access to so many strips.

Shooter, that is the track I prefer to go to. I live that one better since there are not that many people that go there in Sealy.

Baytown is a good place to run. lots of available competition. the other plus is that they actually prep the track for the race, use of VHT if u didnt know.

i'll be in town next weekend getting a new tune and hopefully an update on my chevy transmission swap.

I would be down for driving down from Austin. I can do it anytime after the 16th of Feb. Let me know if anything develops and I will get the Austin gang together to come down.
