Houston Tint Places

I know , I know, I had a thread on this before, but all I got out of that thread was one name and advice on how to "haggle" with the people. I don't want to haggle. I want a place that does a super good job and doesn't charge RIDICULOUS prices. That being said, I don't mind paying for good service, but I also don't like being ripped off...even if it's for good service.

So...

Any good experiences with Tint Places in Houston (excluding XPERT Tinting and Alarms; those people are crooks)

I would recommend xpert tints

i dunno about xpert tints being crooks because they did my tint and clear bra and it was really really good... service was good and they were cool. I don't know which one you went to but the one I went to was the one one 59s near the beltway and the owner works there. Tomcatm also did his there and he'll tell you the same thing I said.

That's the one that I took another car to. They did the tinting right the first time but they got bubbles in the windows and pieces of hair. When I brought it up they said "we can't control that stuff" and I said "BULLS*** you can't! It's what I'm paying you to do." So long story short they were forced to re-do it, but they did it wrong! Wrong percentages. Rather than argue with them some more, I just left it alone because at least there weren't any bubbles in it. I will NEVER go there and I will continue to tell people not to.

Other than that...how'd you like the Car Massuesse? Did they do a good job? Where exactly are they located?

I still say Xpert does a bad *** job. I dont know who their manager was at that time but the people who work there now are very professional. Ask for the manager Russell, he will work with you to make sure you are happy.

Those will burn out over time, but I didnt have any bubbles or blemishes from Xpert. What color is your car? IP and Black show more than other colors, if you are not satisfied take it back, they will fix it.

I believe both Xpert and Formula One tint shop in Westheimer are owned by Sunny. Sunny is a very nice guy. I had good experience with Formula One in Westheimer where I got my tinting done for my G35 coupe. They did an outstanding job, no bubbles, just perfect.

They also re-tinted my BMW 530i and my Toyota free as warranty work. Both my BMW and Toyota were tinted with Formula One film in California. They honor warranty work without questions. All they need is the reciept from the previous work and my signature.

I had no experience with Xpert although I was thinking to let them upgrading my front door speakers (I guess they also do stereo installation). I am thinking to get the Infinity 2 ohm speakers online and let the shop to install them.

I've had several vehicles tinted by Pablo Blue. They do an excellent job. They are in the Clear Lake area and charges around $200.

FYI - Who is taking their cars to have them washed at the car massuse? I'm seeing several G's over there.

I got my clear bra done on the new bumper again today at Xpert. Once again they did an amazing job, also got my headlights done while I was at it. The darker colors do show more blemishes initially, you just have to give it some time to burn off. There was a brand new 911 dark blue that was done when I was there, and it showed some blemishes, but lot of it burned away while I waited. I guess on DG you really cant see any blemishes so I am very happy with the work. Actually if you go to Xpert you can see my old bumper hanging on the wall lol, check out the flawless job they did on that one.

I hate to bump such an old thread but I want to get a little clarification.. In the end if you were not satisfied why didnt you bring that to my attention? (assuming i was the manager at the time) Also for the gentleman with the clear bra problems--Why didnt you bring it back so I could fix it?

Alot of people dont understand that these products are very difficult to install. Granted you are paying for expert installation but people make mistakes.. all you have to do is bring it to mine or Sunny's attention and i can assure you that we will make it right.

Feel free to pm me with any concerns you may have... But remember it is not polite to call people "crooks" when you havent given them a chance to right your wrong.

i had great experience with Master Auto Tint. http://houston.citysearch.com/profil...auto_tint.html.

Not sure if it is still around. I got my 96 Maxima tinted in 96 and 97 Maxima tinted in 97. Sold the 97 Maxima this year and the tint has never had any issues.
