Re: Jacksonville - IV

My tires were supposed to be here last Friday but only 2 showed up. So I call today and a guy said yeah the other 2 came in. I go down there, they jack my car up, and pull a front wheel off to test fit the new wheels over the brembos, no prob. Next thing I know the guy is motioning me to come over to him and he tells me that my other 2 tires did not come in. I had already been there for over an hour so I was pretty pissed.

This has nothing to do with this thread but I had to vent.

The manager ended up giving me a $100 discount so it wasn't too bad.

Discount Tire by Hooter at Regency. They've been cool but things just aren't going my way. The mix up today was some new guys fault and my tires not being here is Michellin's fault. I did appreciate them handling my new wheels like a newborn baby. I should be back there Wednesday around 4 to get them put on.

Re: Jacksonville - IV

russ what are you doing with your old tires, if they are junking them let me know, i may keep em for a bit for autocrossing or you should do the same, just in case u get hooked. need some rims to mount on though.

worn tires do well out there.

i think i would prefer a cheaper set of 17;s for auto cross use if i was buying new ones.

Re: Jacksonville - IV

I'm planning on selling them. I've thought about keeping them for autox but I haven't decided.

Re: Jacksonville - IV

i dont think i will take him that long to do. he did the strip in 15mins and when he did the whole car i took in in at like 9 and it was done by noon. so if i take it to him at 9 in the mornin it should be ready to go by lunch. so i can prolly make lunch just might be a little late. any time is good for me just though id through a time out there and see what everyone else thought.
russ what time you thinkin 1 maybe 2

Re: Jacksonville - IV

1, 2, whenever would be ok with me. 2 would give me more time to get the ride washed up.

Re: Jacksonville - IV

Count me in for the 7th. 1 or 2 is fine.

I feel like a newbie - all this talk about new tires and I just got my first oil change.
