I'm in. I'll be leaving the research park area around 5. So I'll be there shortly after.

 

This is setting up to be a good night. For those who are interested, I'll be bringing an air compressor and a tire pressure gague to reduce my tire pressure to ~30 psi at the drag strip. Also, I'll be doing a spare tire and tool search to see if anyone tries to sneak out ~40-50# on us [img]/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/img]. I was going to do this, but with all of the rear wheel spin I'm getting from 1st to 2nd after the Plenum "mod", I think I'll leave the spare in for better traction.

Also, I'll only be running with ~1/4 tank of gas.

Any other suggestions?

why dont you just go all out and take out the rear seat and all of the plastic back there. oh and dont forget to take out that 72 pound front passenger seat. just kiddin. just have fun and dont kill it so we can hear the who beat who stories and by how bad on sat.

hate to say it Neff but i have a feeling your gonna be running in the mid 15s just because you have never ran before and its gonna take a lot of practice to launch without spinning...

my tip is to NOT try for the "best" time but just get off clean then drive her hard...u'll prolly get about 14.4-14.6 if you do that but its a lot better than 15.4-15.8

Hey, I don't expect to be any better than any other first timer. I know that my car is fast, but I also know that drag racing is something that you have to learn how to do. I was just asking for suggestions (trying to avoid those 15's)... I'd like to have a true pro take my car for a spin and show me high 13's. That would make me happy.

And NO, none of you guys can drive my car...

Just wanted to know who besides neff and myself are running and who are watching?

Just like Neff, I'm a first timer at this myself. I've been to bithlo before and watched, but this will be my first time participating. And I don't expect to make the greatest time (though I'd like to), but I want to see what this is all about and have some fun.
