well im definatly not running till im 100% sure my AC line is not touchin my popcharger....im about to go see what i can do about it...Jeff and Neff, did u make sure urs was ok?? u didnt mention bracket bending so im thinking I maybe be able to readjust the bracket and be ok...

im gonna check it out and call the guy from Memphis if i cant figure it out

Found out my kinetix V3 plenum is coming on Fri. Hopefully I can get it installed and still make it out there.

When I installed the popcharger I did notice that it was rubbing the ac line so I bent the main bracket and adjusted the clamp until it wasn't touching anymore. I wasn't satisfied with that however so I went to home depot and got something that would fit over the ac line. I don't know the name of the stuff but if you look further down the ac line you'll see the factory already used the same stuff as a buffer to the wheel well. I just added more so it looks stock and protects it further. I can bring some friday if you want, it came in a large package and I only needed a couple of inches.

I plan on coming friday, I don't know if I'm going to run yet though.

Anybody find out what mods DED did? Last I knew he hinted at clear corners. Are you still keeping it under wraps DED or is that all you did?

If anybody is interested, I have a panel K&N filter that fits the stock intake. I bought it right before I decided to install the popcharger. It was installed for only a week on my car so if your interested pm me and I'll bring it to the track.

 

I ordered the beginner play pack, PC-ztube and clear corners. The ztube is backordered and won't come in until next week. PC just came in today, so I'm taking the rest of the off to put it on and wash the car.

Still unsure of my schedule. I'd like to see and hear that Kinetix.

I definatly need it...I just went and bent the bracket at least halfway to str8 and used a bolt to raise the wheel well end up and its not as bad but still touching.
before it was pushing the A/C line down, now its just resting against it...
i guess if it lasted this long it can make it till friday

I just went and bought the plastic covering, i bought the big and small one cause i wasnt sure if the small was big enough.
Did u use regualar electric tape to tape it down? The tape I bought says 192degrees...does the engine get hotter than this???

im gonna put it on in a couple hours when my engine and the sun cools down

I didn't use any tape. It was a tight fit considering the proximity of the popcharger so it alone should keep it the cover in place.

 

ok thanks...i'll prolly at least tape it closed if not to the A/C line

u use the small (1/2" i think) or was it too small???
