Road Course Track in Tampa, FL

Just wondered if there was enough interest for a road course in the Tampa Bay area. To those of you in FL, its 80miles west of Orlando, 250-300 miles North of Miami, those to the northeast. Its 10 hrs and some change from South Carolina, and 3-4 hrs from the panhandle of FL down. I am thinking the course would be around 2 miles long, turns and a big straight, a couple of ideas I am going off of are the following.

Gingerman Raceway-Michigan
Mid Ohio raceway- Ohio
Road Atlanta- GA
Road America- WI

Once again just trying to see if there was an enough of an interest to everyone here. I am thinking around 50-50 bucks a head, for 3-5 hrs of track time. Eventually there would be course instruction on how to go about racing your car etc. etc.

Lemme know thanks.

I am sure there would be a lot of interest, I was a BMW owner before and our club always had to drive to Sebring.. too far away. And I know there are a lot of G/Z owners in the Tampa/Orlando area. How much would a track this size cost to build, est.?

Right now I am doing all of that research my father in Law is putting together blue prints of the track as we speak and he will let me know. He was an engineer for 30 years, built and designed many tracks, roads, specifically the road course that the Michigan State patrol use! The layout will be similar to Gingerman Raceway.

Oh how much to attend, well most tracks in the mid west do if your a student for a test and tune its $45 from like 5-830. Then if your not a student its $60 bucks, so not really that much at all. I was told that Sebring is 300$ or somthing? thats crazy

That is very cool I am sure that the one thing that you will need to look at that will kill you is the insurance that the track will need to operate

Oh yeah for sure there will be waivers that need to be signed, driving gloves, and helmet will be MANDATORY. Some tracks dont allow drop tops without a rollcage, so that will have to be something ventured into as well!
