does any one know how to remove chrome from wheels? it almost looks llike it was done over a gloss black finish and the gloss black finish is really what i'd rather it be. the chrome is just flaking off and from what ive heard sandblasting i good but scars the wheel up. HELP

 

Hey bro, i'm not sure how much your looking to spend. But theres a powder coater in Clarksville, that will do a set of rims for right around 400 bucks. He can do them any color you'd like. I was going to do my 18's and he said that as long as there's no huge pits in the rim already the sandblasting they do won't hurt them.

 

thanks man that price is about right. but i think clarksville is 2 or 3 hours away from me and generally no one has been able to do the whole process in one day. if you can though shoot me his number. maybe when i head up there to help you out with your installs i could just leave it with him cause i dont have stock wheels to put back on it.

 

No problem man. it's (931) 552-1718, it also just so happens that Since my 19" Tenzo's should be on my car. I could let you use the stock 18's that were on the car when i bought it, if you need to. I think he requires the rims to be off the tire. But i'd call him to make sure.
