Check out my local band online!
Check out my local band online!
Hey everyone. I just built my very first web site (ever) for my local band:
http://www.theAdequits.com
It still has some quirks to work out (if you use Netscape or an older version of IE, some things might not come up right; if anyone here is a FrontPage 2003 expert, I could use some tips to get it looking consistent, but I must admit it doesn't look bad for someone that doesn't know what he's doing!)...
Anywho, we just finished mastering some new recordings today and I've put sound clips from them on the site. Your comments are welcome and encouraged. Thanks and I hope to see some of you at some of our future shows in So-Fla!

Re: Check out my local band online!
The reason u may get "inconsistency" is because Frontpage and all other 'easy' webpage developing programs allow u to create the page graphically and it converts it to HTML code.
If you want true consistency, u will need to edit the HTML code to make it the way u want
that being said...i went to ur page and dont know what u think is inconsistent so i cant tell u how to fix it

Re: Check out my local band online!
You probably have IE 6, so it looks fine. I just noticed that things don't show up right (fonts, especially) on older browsers and that things don't stay centered. The site looks perfect on my home computer, but when I viewed it on my 20" screen at work, the site favored the upper-left corner of the screen.

Re: Check out my local band online!
yeah its in the upper left of mine too cause i have the resolution set very high.
when ur site is primarly graphics then ur going to get those problems. you can set the whole webpage as a large table and use percent instead of pixels or inches, this will have the page show up similarly on all computers but a 200x100pixel graphic will be smaller and take less of the screen on higher resolutions
