After a lot of hard work by Dabomb and myself we have decided to go ahead and schedule the "Central FL G-Out".

<font color=blue>Place:</font color=blue> Wekiwa Springs State Park in Central FL

<font color=blue>Time:</font color=blue> 8am - 8pm

<font color=blue>Date:</font color=blue> Saturday JULY 10th (This date is firm due to every weekend in June and July being booked)

<font color=blue>Parking:</font color=blue> $5.00 per car for families and $3.00 per car for individual drivers. Be there as early as possible. The park will close when full. The safe time is before 10:30 according to the park ranger.

<font color=blue>Pavilion:</font color=blue> We will be in the SINK HOLE PAVILION nearest the Springs and concession stand. The Pavilion has A/C, electricity, water faucet, 10 tables, a double grill (approx. 3' X 6'). The pavilion holds up to 100 people so make sure to register and show up early.

<font color=blue>Activities:</font color=blue> Canoeing is $12.00 for 2 hours and $3.00 for each additional hour. Canoes, paddles and life vests are provided. There is also swimming, volleyball (ball provided at ranger station with valid FL drivers license) and horse shoes. There is also a playground near by for the kids. For those with current fresh water fishing licenses there is also fishing, but no equipment is provided.

<font color=blue>Cost:</font color=blue> Price is $5.00 per G35 owner. I will handle all of the fees associated with the charcoal, pavilion rental, etc... If there is extra money left over I'll volunteer dabomb to head to the local convenient store and buy food/drinks/chips for lunch.

<font color=blue>Alcohol:</font color=blue> FYI, the park has STRICT rules about NO ALCOHOL. I will not tell you that you can not bring any, but I want you to know the rules. A little Segrams 7 and 7UP might make it's way into my cooler, but no beer bottles/cans please.

I recommend everyone bring enough food for themselves and their families. We'll need to have JOsh bring the grilling utensils, so we can have the best hamburgers and hotdogs this side of the Mississippi.

The next Post is the Sign-up list for those committing themselves and their families to show up. Worst case would be a rainy day, but with an indoor pavilion I think everything should be ok.

The 17th and the 24th and the 31st and the 3rd were totally booked. The 10th had only 1 pavilion open and we took it. If this thing was ever going to happen, we had to make a RSVP NOW. Sorry if this date doesn't work well for everyone, but in all actuality, no date would work for everyone.

What do you all think about getting some cones or something to block off the parking for, at least, the confirmed members?

What is the point of having a "reservation" if there could be no parking when you arrive?

So i could drive 2+ hours one way and not be able to get in? Don't think there is any way i can commit to that, guys.

Pimpin's questions...
1) yes im pretty sure its sand volleyball and not just a random net in the middle of the grass. They supply the volleyball but bring ur own if u want.
2) check the map...yes there is springs and a lake
3) charcoal (3'x6' stone grill) we must supply but dont worry I will bring enough for all of us.
4) YES A/C...stop asking stupid questions already ...the pavilion is indoors...SO DONT LEAVE THE DOOR OPEN

orljmh's questions...
1) i dont think the park will go for this...first come first serve for parking...we can nicely stand in the spots till 10 or 10:30am for others but once it starts filling up we cant save for someone who isnt in the park

redwillow's questions...
1) if u get there by 10am (or earlier) then u wont have a problem...the 10:30am was worst case...but if u dont wanna take this risk then we'll catch ya at the next meet.
2) make a mixed drink or poor the beer in a mug...its gonna be 100degrees anyways, alchohol shouldnt be the main priority.
