99% no right now. If I do, it will be alone. I'm not dragging my kids outta bed at 7 to get them on the road before 8 so I can get a spot. I know how hard it is to keep everyone happy but this new idea pretty much alienated everyone that isn't from Orlando/Tampa. I realize that's only a few people but Wes's original idea was for a "Florida" meet. Now it's even being called a Central FL meet.

I understand the location change, it makes sense since more people live in that area. But the time change will turn away the family out-of-towners and the "no-alcohol" Chuck E Cheese aspect is going to turn away any out-of-town single members.

So on the 10th of July all of the Jax people can find me sitting at Hooters with a beer in one hand and a box of Kleenex in the other.

Look, im not gonna beg anyone to come and franctly dont care who comes or who doesnt. I had a lot of fun today standing doing nothing without drinking one beer. But thats not saying I wont be drinking on the 10th...I WILL BE DRINKING but it wont be out of a bottle(or can) advertising it to the park rangers.

We tryed to have an all florida thing but it was up for about 2weeks and no one outside of Jax, Tampa, Orlando, and Melbourne even commented, so we moved it CLOSER to Orlando. If you get there by 10:30am I will personally gurantee u a spot and Todd said the same thing...if the park is closed that early i will leave and park elsewhere so that u can park in the park. That means leave at 9am and im willing to bet u and ur kids are up by 9am most days. I definatly cant say the same thing but I will be there about 9am or earlier. Most of the people from Tampa today said they would make it out and the Orlando crowd will definatly be there so do what u want.

By the way everyone...on friday Dennis offered the idea that us orlando members agreed on...<font color=red>Consider the event sponser the Orlando Area Gs</font color=red>. We are covering the $80 pavilion fee and the charcoal. You still need to bring ur own food and drinks and obviously pay for admission into the park but we will cover the other fees. Make it out if you want, otherwise we'll see you when we see you.

My original idea was for both "guranteed parking" and "alchohol" but things dont always work out. This wasnt our first or even second option but as u saw in the 120+ posts on the other thread...things weren't forming, so Todd and I setup the event Friday morning. You never once offered a better idea or location for me to check out and try to reserve, so this is what we have. I in no means was annilating you or any other out of towners...in fact this event was planned for the out of towners. I see the orlando guys weekly. I had fun previously with you Jax guys (and lady) so we set something up that would give the out of towners reason and incentive to drive down.

I'm not asking for any special treatment or for anyone to go out of there way to accomodate me. I was just answering Dan's question with a reason. I said I understood why you moved it to Orlando, it made sense.

Im thinking (or hoping) the reason the list is growing is because the date isnt until July 10th. Hopefully the Tampa people who seemed up for the event will post when the date is closer. Otherwise, we will have a nice showing from Orlando and it'll be fun nonetheless.

Getting this thread started back up again!!! It's only less than a month away/ Lets start a new list with confirmed people and guests. I am looking forward to this and I promise that if you JAX people come down, I and Dennis want to come to one of your "JAX drives" and get a big meet up there going. I think that we have a great bunch of people in this Florida group and I hope to get some South Floridians involved, but it is on their own will of course. I also think that I will organize a mini-meeting at the Family Day to discuss "orders of business" for future plans. More info on that later. OK, i am off to bed. The drag strip knocked me out...
