Re: WestCoast Drivers Club?

I would like to keep this G only...they've done it to us. Since this is at the dealership I don't think it would be proper.

Re: WestCoast Drivers Club?

How do you think I could pull off moving into a new house and getting a supercharger. Still living in the same place saving up more money.

Re: WestCoast Drivers Club?

Hello, everyone.... John here. I am the Service Director for Lokey Infiniti.

First off- Lazer, gspot35 is right. Give me a call and let me know about your situation. We do our best to make sure everyone is happy, and I have instituted A LOT of changes at the dealer in the last few months.

About this car club- I first approached Scott(esemes) about this awhile back when he started this thread. I had been hearing from him how he was talking to other local Infiniti owners that were interested in performance goodies. It seemed so natural for all of you to organize yourselves into a formal(or semi-formal) club, and I expressed interest in participating in some ways.

To tell you a bit about myself- I have been with Infiniti since 1993, and began my career with Infiniti in the parts department. After about the first 10 months in parts, I decided on a career as an Infiniti technician. Starting as an apprentice technician, I eventually worked my way through just about all of Infiniti's training classes and became the lead technician for Infiniti of Tampa. After doing that for about seven years and not wanting my career path to end there, I moved to the front offices and began my time as a service consultant. I was at the Tampa dealer for awhile longer, and after that dealer was bought by a larger corporation I ended up at Lokey. Shortly after arriving there, I was promoted to my current position of Service Director. It gives me a unique perspective on the job coming from being a technician.

The reason I share all of this is that I wanted you all to know my mechanical background. Personally, I share your interest in all things fast. I have owned several performance cars, have had one of my personal engines on the cover of Super Ford magazine, and currently own a sportbike(that I don't have much time for lately!). I have chosen to use my interest in performance to help Lokey Infiniti get into this type of work, and give customers a place to receive factory-level installations while being as warranty-friendly as possible.

Meeting Scott and helping him with his successful project has been a blast, and now getting to know GSpot35 has been another great experience. I want to offer my assistance, in what ways I can, to all of you in your efforts to organize into a club. I can see Lokey Infiniti providing our facility for monthly member meetings, providing club discounts on parts and labor, maybe having "shop time" every now and then(need to check on liability issues), and supporting you in other ways. One especially cool thing is that with my 11 years working for Infiniti, I have established some strong ties with factory personnel. Because of this, I believe I could possibly even get a guest speaker for your meetings at times. Something along the lines of a product engineer or other personnel. Of course, having access to my Infiniti Senior Specialists is easy.

So, as I have said to GSpot35 and Scott, the club and what you all do with it is yours to decide. I just thought I should officially throw my name into the hat and let you know I am here for you. I don't always check these forums, so GSpot35 can call me as this develops.

I look forward to working with you all, and helping you to organize yourselves into a great enthusiasts club that the Z guys will be jealous of!

BTW- the Saturday show mentioned above would be from 8:00 to 3:00. More details to follow later....

-John

Re: WestCoast Drivers Club?

I knew you Orlando guys would appreciate this since having to deal with your local dealer I've heard is painful. I look forward to seeing the Orlando crew again.

Re: WestCoast Drivers Club?

Damnit! I would have waited for the transmission and differential flushes that I prematurely did yesterday (at 7760 miles) at Orlando Infiniti had I known that Lokey was going to treat us this way! I still have my darn JIC Y-Pipe sitting in my den, maybe (no DEFINITELY) I'll bring it w/ me and either have Lokey install it for me, or if they let me, I'll do it myself on their lift with my own tools.

I have been considering a Stillen Stage II Super Charger, but didn't want to have problems with Orlando Infiniti. Knowing that there is another dealership within towing distance, GOD FORBID, I might start looking into that much needed 2nd mortgage ... Let's see, Stillen SC, Volks, suspension... I guess I'd need ~$12,000. Wonder what the wife will say (or do to me if I ask?)

The above statements are only my take on the issue. If you disagree with anything I typed then you are 100% right!

Re: WestCoast Drivers Club?

Thanks for all of the kind words, guys. I am really looking forward to getting to meet all of you.

About the 11th- What we are doing is beginning Saturday service hours. Previously, this dealer did not offer service on Saturdays. To kick off the new service, we are holding a complimentary service clinic where customers will be making appointments to have their cars inspected at no cost to them. My technicians will be looking over the vehicles and advising the customers of any service or repairs that their cars may need. We will also probably do basic service on this first Saturday, such as oil services.

I am also going to be having some sort of food and beverages for our clients to enjoy while having their car inspected(of course, we'll take care of you as well!). I'm also planning on having a few of my vendors out here that day to give information about their services, and I am working on having Sirius or XM Radio set up a tent and demo their units. And best of all, I heard we are going to have some hot G35s out here to show people what can be done to these cars!

As more details become available, I will let you all know. I plan on designating an area as the "show area", so it would be nice to get a count of how many of you are going to be here on the 11th. We are going to get going at 8AM, but if some of you arrive a little later that is fine. I just thought it would be a good time for those of you who haven't been here to see our dealership, and would provide you guys an excuse to get together.

Talk to you all soon...

-John

Re: WestCoast Drivers Club?

Great! Look forward to meeting you, Daniel.

Lokey Infiniti is located at 19740 US Hwy 19 N, Clearwater 33764.

From Tampa, take SR60(Courtney Campbell Causeway) west across the bay. Continue on SR60 until you get to US 19. You will want to take a left and head south on US 19. Get in the right lane because we are just south of SR 60 on the righthand(west) side of US 19. We are right after our Mercedes Benz dealership.
