Re: CFL- Has anyone done a performance mod lately?

Could we do a Friday night 1/4 mile run and then a Saturday morning dyno session? If so, why not push this event further out into October or early November. This would give the temperatures enough time to cool down (potentially better times with our runs at the strip) and it also gives us married guys something to work with as far as scheduling.

DED, do you think you'd feel comfortable running at the track this time?

If you go back to a stock configuration, is that considered a mod?

Just wanted to bring this back up....I'm looking to dyno and wanted to see if you guys wanted to jump in with me and rent the dyno out for a day. It will take a trip out here to Tampa, east tampa. The rate which I may be able to negotiate a little better is 6 hours for $650, this is a mustang dyno with wideband. He can do loaded or inertia based. I'm hoping to get 8-10 people to sign up so we can get the price down to around $70 per person. If you guys are interested please kick me some dates. Right now I'd like to try for October 30th, which is a Saturday. I will still need to go back and check with the dyno shop to see if I can negotiate a price and check if the 30th is available.

Since you have the 30th in mind, I will schedule for it. Count me in. I know several Maxima guys from the .org who would be interested as well if you need more people.

Re: CFL- Has anyone done a performance mod lately?

seems a little high. when we did our Orlando Dyno Day, we had the dyno to ourselves and it was $40 for 2runs. We had about 17people if my memory serves and ran from 8am-5pm minus an hour or less for lunch. Coming to my point...thats 8hrs for 17people (28min/person) adding 7min/person to gurantee no one gets missed at the end you can only get a max of 10ppl and thats still $65/person for 2runs.

Secondly, there are a couple people that have mods planned but probably wont be done by the 30th. To help get those 10ppl, you may need to push it back further. But I guess this thread will be the best judge.

This is his advertised price, I've been to him before so maybe he would cut us a break to get some fresh faces to his place. I or maybe some guys would be willing to buy more time to keep the number of people we have interested in going for a reasonable price. Could have 6 people, and a couple of those may want a whole hour or so. I'm still interested and I will talk to the shop tomorrow to see what options and cost we have.

As an alternative, I know a place that allows you to drive your own cars on the dyno. They are strictly a race shop and really has no interest in our cars unlike the other guy. They seem to think it's amusing to make street cars fast. Let me know I can call that place too.

Ok checked with both places. The place with the Mustang dyno and the more experience tuner for Z's and G's will charge us $50 for 3 pulls with wideband. He's a real cool guy, and might be the better of the two shops for us. The other guy wants to charge $120 for the first hour and $60 for each additional hour. All runs with wideband. The cool thing about the latter is the guys allow you to drive your car on the dyno. If you've never driven 90+mph standing still it might be a cool experience in itself for you. I'm starting a list because these guys won't tell me their deal price unless I can give them a number.

1. If I can get a few O-Town guys to join me I'm in.
2. I like the $50 place. After the last dyno day, I do not want to drive my car. The dyno can be a VERY DANGEROUS thing.
3. Will have to work the date with the wife...

Update.
How about we get something locally going. Tampa is getting too much of our time lately. Josh, can you make a few calls and see what you can set up for us? I think we might have 5-10 people willing to do another dyno day in ORLANDO.
