Clear Channel who owns the station made a corporate decision. Zeta along with several other stations (Big 100 in Orlando was another one) were not getting the ratings they should have and Clear Channel knew there was a BIG demand for latin radio. The sad thing is they laid off almost everyone from those stations.

My future brother in law works for Clear Channel in management and was brought from Jacksonville to Miami to work for Zeta. He was only there 3 weeks before they made the switch. Now he's being forced to leave. Luckily it all worked out for him he's staying with Clear Channel but moving to Tampa.

Finiti-There may be a lot of latin radio stations in Miami but Clear Channel didn't own them. They are probably owned by Viacom (Infinity) or some other company. Clear Channel and Infinity are always in competition with each other.

Mannn I heard that when I put on 949 when I left the meet. I was so pissed. I cant stand the crap they play on the radio. 965, 1035, all those stations play the same old crap.

i hate the radio period, there is never anything good on, too many commercials, so i have always gone w/ cd's only, but zeta did have a cool morning show that i would listen to on my way to school, too bad.

Well, the solution is to win the Lokey Infiniti raffle for the Satellite radio. The winner can choose either XM or Sirius and will not have to worry about SFL radio stations any more.

Maybe now we'll be selling a few more raffle tickets.

(This was just a futile attempt to bring this post on topic so that it can stay around a little longer. )

Yeah, I woke up to a nightmare Friday morning when I heard political talk instead of Lex & Terry on my radio!? I thought I accidentally hit the FM/AM switch by mistake. Clear Channel, you suck! There are too many latin stations in so-fla already; what the **** are they thinking? The first station to play my band's music (on ZETA Goes Local) fires the host (that was bad enough) and now they axe the whole station. Thank G*d I live far enough north to get 103.1 THE BUZZ (in my car, at least) and far enough south to get 88.5 and 93.1.
