He traded in a G35 for an M45. The G35 he traded, my brother ended up buying and its having a problem. I spoke to Jerome owner of 404 motorsports about the car and he was very forthcoming about the modifications, very nice guy. The question Im trying to find out is if anyone knows whether he had the supercharger installed. Its a 2005 black 6sp coupe and its exterior mods are minimal. Lowered on Eibachs with clear front signals, lightly smoked tails, debadged rear cept for the infiniti symbol and painted front grill cept for the infiniti symbol. The car is having some noises/problems and its in the shop right now but were not sure if infiniti is gonna warranty the problems. Its making a noise in nuetral at idle speed. The noise goes away when either the clutch is depressed or the engine speed increases to 2000+ rpms. The car drives fine except for the noise. There is an aftermarket light flywheel and an aftermarket clutch confirmed by Jerome. There is no rpm float (rpm "float" when pedal is floored) or rough shifts or grindy/notchy shifts. Im baffled....and the techs at gwinnett infiniti have the car for the rest of the week trying to figure it out. There is *no* supercharger installed at this time on the motor but I dont know if there was one *ever* installed. Just looking for some help.

That is a common noise with the 6 speeds. You can really notice it in a garage or in a drive through. It will sound like a bunch of marbles tumbling around. It goes away when the clutch is pushed in. It is something that I have had to get used to. Rich

 

There should be no noise like a grinding and rattling.....thats not right. If a car is making that kinda noise....soemthings definitely wrong

 

From what I have read on another forum my350z.com (which is down for upgrades so I can't post the linK) lighter flywheels will make noise at idle. What clutch and flywheel does the car have on?

 

Thanks for the reply's the car is being fixed by Gwinnet Infiniti. Im not sure which flywheel/clutch combo was installed but its going back to stock

I already posted some night shots of distinguishing features of the car before it went to the shop. Jerome has taste in cars as all the mods are tasteful and have a purpose. I dont know if he works on G35's but Ive seen his works with Benz's (AMG packages) and Bentleys and his shop does great things. The car is awaiting parts right now and should be fixed and returned sometime, hopefully, next week. I need to get pics of the black suede headliner Jerome did...its very nicely done. Anyways, thanks for helping..
