does it cost more to fix and repair a hood and bumper vs buying brand new parts?

my accident was really minor, the bumper got "skinned" and there is 3" long rash on my hood. watcha'll think.

brand new parts don't usually come painted.

Chances are you'll have to repaint the hood.. which might be pricey, you can just call around and get quotes first

i was hoping i can just repair the existing parts and use the insurance difference to pay my for my deductible since my insurance company replaces everything with brand new parts. you think marcos would be cool with that?
