Fixing curb rash in the Valley (LA)

Can anyone recommend somewhere I can get curb rash fixed in the Valley (Los Angeles, CA)?

I've read posts where people mention Ram Tire, Custom Wheel Refinishing, and Tru Wheel. Can anyone comment on the quality of any of these companies? Tru Wheel and Custom Wheel Refinishing are pretty close by, so I'm leaning towards them. They also have shorter turnaround times.

I know this isn't in the right forum, but I couldn't figure out how to post in the SoCal Forum.

Is there a correct process?

So as I understand it, if wheel curb rash repair is "done right," the shop will sand the area, paint it, then clear coat it. Is that correct? Can anyone chime in that has had rash repaired?

We use Keystone at the shop for all wheel repair & refinishes. 1-3 day turnaround depending on condition and finish you want. Price starts at $100-125 per wheel (17 or smaller).

velvet touch...in OC....I made the drive down there because they are THE BEST.

And yes, "done right," the shop will sand the area, paint it, then clear coat it.

Many other on here have had it done by VT....hands down good. Kamal also knows someone local in LA, he's business neighbor...

You want valley right?

ok couple places. Go to Pico Wheel and Tire located on Sherman Way and Fulton. Ask for Armen. Also if you go to tru wheel they are gonna charge you alot. just look in the yellow pages and drive to the places to get quotes.

thats what i did.

I've gone to Tru wheels before when I had my Acura GSR 17's fixed. They worked fine for me.

Tru Wheel = no fix

Just dropped by Tru Wheel and spoke with one of the techs. He took one look at the rim and told me that they couldn't do it. Said that the paint color is only available in Germany.

Called Velvet Touch. They might be willing to do a Saturday pickup from Mission Viejo Infiniti and they told me that they haven't had any problems on any G35 wheels. Most likely going to go with them unless they can't do the Saturday pickup.

If they are stock wheels then go with Velvet Touch because they specialize in doing those wheels and have the closest color known to man (for Nissan/Infiniti)!

They go to Infiniti Dealerships to work on wheels! It doesn't get better than when it comes to experience dude...trust me...

Just to clarify, Tru Wheel said they couldn't match the color because the stock 19" rims had "a lot of metallic" in the paint color. Go figure...

wont come out to the valley unless you've got a set of 4 wheels...other than that you meet them in OC...they do drive to your place between OC and SD...
