Camping place during ThanksGiving! need your..

hey guys..
trying to either go to Vegas
or just go camping with my friends..(around 7 of us)
for Vegas..just thinking of going to one of these:
Sahara,,Stratosphere,,Monte Carlo,,Luxor,,Excalibur,,Hilton

for camping..I couldn't really find anything..
I was thinking of El Capitan Canyon..but that place
is already booked!
so need to know if you guys know any other places
that has cabin..no tents..
need a place where we can bbq right infront of the cabin!
San Diego,,Santa Barbara,,Ventura,,Crystal Cove,,Big Bear,,Mammoth,,
etc..will be find..

we are willing to drive a long distance as long as we can have fun
during thanksgiving..(no more than 300 miles tho)
BTW..I'm in Los Angeles..
thanks guys

I think your best bet for cabins is in big bear. I don't know of any grills out in front of the cabin for fire safety reasons.

Stardust might have really good deals considering they are closing by the end of the month and a new hotel will be built there. The Hilton is nice too, right off the strip, laid back, and not too crowded. A good camping spot I went to last year was at Jackson Flats at Wrightwood Forest. You can call to see if there are any openings, but I doubt it considering it's going to be a long weekend. Another good spot is at San Onofre, right next to Oceanside, that's pretty good. There isn't much shade though, but you're right next to the beach, so you can check out all the hookahs, fly honies and skeezahs...

Houseboat rental on Lake Mead. You can do the camping on the houseboat and do Vegas at the same time.
