Here is what I have now on my ride. I went to two different places where they powder coating all kind of things, but, they can't do my. I want to powder coat just the inside and keep the lips chrome. They said they can't do it. They have to powder coat the whole wheel to black. Anyone know a place in O.C where they can do this for me.

I looked into the same thing a couple of years ago... I did a bunch of research... I'm afraid you're not going to be able to do that with PC... However in can be painted that way...

After revisiting this post I thought of something... the powder coater I use has some rims sitting in his lobby that look amazing!!! They are black chrome - not black chrome like the powder coating you've probably seen (I have that on my wheels), it's more like a liquid mercury look... it's killer! I was going to get my wheels done but he outsourced that finish and ships to WA... if you can be without those wheels for a while (maybe you still have your stockers) you should check into this - it would look very cool on your car...

The shop is Nu Tech off the 91 near Kramer, ask for Mike Kent: 714-632-5045 (I've referred them before out here) they've done a bunch of stuff for me - wheels, grille, plenum...

Let us know what you end up with.

It can be done but it takes some $$$. the powder coater masks of the parts that you don't want powder coated with a special tape it takes time so alot of powder coaters dont even wanna do it. i had my silver AXIS Milanos powder coated black.

^^^ you should give him the info for your powder coater... it's gonna be hard for him to find a place to do what he's asking - but apparently you found one.

pac-man, your rims looks nice already, no needs to powder coat. are you pretty set on your rims? cost for a good powder coat is probably not cheap - have you look into getting a new set of rims that already have black spokes?
