I want to get a TDI or something for a beater, Golf TDI seeing as Diesel is cheaper than Gas and those suckers get like 40mpg.

My G, is my beater. I never understood why people get beaters. Dont you buy the car to drive it? Why do you want it to look pretty in a garage?

Anybody else think that the G is not nice enough to warrant a beater (except if you are looking for a track setup, or are pushing high hp)?
