Go to the monrovia location. Ask for Juan Mercade and tell him Damon with the DG Coupe sent you. (It's been a while so he may not remember me) But Juan is the manager so he's more willing to work with you on pricing if you're not going through insurance.

They do work for the dealerships in the area (that's how i found him). They do great work. The other thing is that they do custom work as well. Last time i was there, they were working on two "Evolve" Volvos, getting ready for the LA Auto Show.

Holmes is a good shop, but they charge an arm and a leg for work outside of insurance. But they do have their "off" days too. I've seen their work on my friend's 01 Acura CL after he rear ended someone. The headlights were slightly off.

Yeah I will try to see if I can get something from the city. What if the pole with the power lines is inside a parking lot; would the liability fall to the city or the private owner of the lot?

Also does anyone know where I can get an OEM grill (I don't really like the aftermarket grills) and an 06 sports bumper cheaper than at the dealer or is going through the dealership the only way to go?

Thanks in advance.

look in the marketplace for used front bumpers, both stock and sport bumpers are going for 100-200$ painted so that takes care of the bumper, grill there are many to choose from, go for the klumzyee replica gialla, 200 or so, then hood, hell just get that repaired or go for an aftermarter which are usually < (less than) 600$. so thats 1000$ Tops and your car now looks sick. Beats a body shop that will return you to stock......

look around the market, since this forum loves aftermarket, theres plenty of unused and sitting stock parts floating around.

the dealer, will RIP YOU OFF. so use them as last resort.

I thnk liability rests with the utility company... I mean, if the transformer mounted on a pole in your parking lot explodes, the utility company comes out and replaces it... Not the person who owns the property the pole was in.... Besides, most places I've seen, have a "utility easement" on the land immediately surrounding the poles and equipment.

I know you were looking for a bodyshop near Pasadena, but I just got my ride back from Yoshi's Autobody in Granada Hills (exit Reseda off the 118, close to Northridge) not too far from Pasadena. He put in my new '06 sport bumper, IONIC (Gialla replica) grill, and Seibon CF Hood, and it came out GREAT . They are AAA approved. The owner's name is Louie, he's a really cool cat (older Mexican guy). The autobody's number is (818) 360-2196. You can ask for Louie or also Rene. Just tell him Vene Ventura referred you (tell him the guy with an Athens Blue G, or the one with a Hornblasters train horn, they had a blast playing with my horn and scaring everyone in their shop). He will remember me, plus I just got my car back about two weeks ago. His turnaround time is pretty quick too. Hope this helps you out.

I ended up going with an '06 sport bumper. It's actually way cheaper than most aftermarket ones, urethane, and no fitment worries.

I live in Pasadena, had my work done at NP2 Autobody in Pasadena.. they do great work for a very reasonable price.. Prepped, installed and perfect paint matched my Kenstyle replica. In fact my car is there right now for body repairs(I ran over some nasty dead ish on the fwy last week). You wont be disappointed. Ask for Andrew, tell him Ishmael sent you from the G35 boards.
