G35 Tragedy! Need advice from ppl from the 626!

Yesterday my black '04 6 spd G35 coupe got hit by a power line that snapped. Basically the line cut the front of my bumper nearly in half and the grill was also damaged, also the bottom part of the hood also got slightly damaged.

I need some advice...

Because the bumper needs to be replaced, should I go for the factory bumper or an aftermarket one? I'm guessing the factory bumper will be ridiculously expensive which makes me lean towards getting some kind of body kit since the kit probably would be about the same price. That said can anyone help me with some suggestions on what I should get?

Also how should I deal with the grill, I think it could probably get rechromed or something, since it's not really cut that badly, but should I just get that replaced; would it be cheaper that way?

Also for anyone living near the 626 (Los Angeles, near Pasadena), could you please suggest a good place where I won't get ripped off and get good quality work?

Thanks so much, I'll post some pictures later, but the damage makes me want to break down and cry.

OEM bumper is pretty cheap actually, upgrade to the 06 sport bumper. Only go aftermarket if you plan on getting sides and rear also to complete the look

If your insurance is paying for it, go to MARCO AUTO BODY in San Gabriel. They are the best. It's right between San Gabriel Blvd and Las Tunas.

Sadly I don't have full coverage on my G (I know I know stupid right?), so I will be paying for this out of my own pocket.

Sorry I'm a complete n00b, is a bumper cover the actual bumper? The extent of the damage on the bumper is such that I need to replace the entire bumper.

I will definitely check out Marco thanks for the suggestion.

Also I'm thinking of just getting an entire body kit since my front bumper is jacked up and my rear bumper is dinged as well. Are the kits that Klumzyee sells pretty reliable? I live close to him so I would be able to pick up everything and save on some delivery costs. Also is there an aftermarket bumper out there that looks decent with the stock 04 sides and rear (if I were to be ghetto and just leave the sides and rear).

Thanks for everyone's help and support!

Check out PRO MAX on Garfield and Mission in Alhambra. The last time I check on Kenstyle kit they quoted me pretty good deal.

The 06 sport bumper has an integrated lip, and bigger vents. Search for pics, they are all over the place. Its going to be significantly cheaper to go this route than to get a body kit

Hmmmm... that actually sounds like a pretty good way to go. I like how the stock bumper looks with an added lip. Where would be the best place to buy one? Or should I just have the body shop procure it?

Also I tried going to Marco Auto Body and they quoted me 2.5k for the bumper, grill and a very small portion of the hood. It sounds a little steep... Is that about how much it's going to cost everywhere?

Thanks again!

First you need to persue something with the city or which ever county you were in to pay for your damage.

Next get a hold of Eric aka Klumzyee on here or come down to our Chino Hills meet and talk to him...........he can set you up with a aftermarket bumper and new grill not OEM but something nice.
