I lived in San Gabriel/Alhambra for about a month (long story about the landlord being a d1ck....so we moved out). It's a fairly nice area, but even though it's only ~9 miles from work, it used to take about a half hour to get to work since it was all city street driving. If at all possible, your best bet is to live west of work because the commute is against traffic. I live in Arcadia now (about 3.5 miles south of work) and the commute is great!

Oh, and WP is G35 central....there are like four coupes, a bunch of sedans, and a couple 350Z's....in a not so big parking lot. It's actually kind of depressing, but I just tell myself that they all have good taste too

You just started looking for a place? Hope your not in the market for an affordable apartment. I spent last month looking for a place that was affordable and everything was being snatched up. I finally got a 1bd apt on wilshire and veteran for $1525, had to fight for it too....

from what your looking for, i'd suggest pasadena. it's a lil exp BUT worth it since it'll be clean and there are things to do and close to work. good luck!

Yea I hear Pasadena is nice but a tad out of my price range since I won't be at my apartment most of the time. Maybe if I can find a studio or something there, that might work.
OC is a little too far for me, but thanks.

i'm guessing you don't have any roomates? 1525 a month is crazy expensive if you're just living by yourself

she doesn't have a place yet. i need to find one for her
yea traffic is goin to suck.
i'm trying to compromise with her since i go to work everyday at the same time and she has classes a few times a week and her work schedule is staggered but she doesn't know where she will be working. so i'm trying to find a place that's in between.
