UTEC or FCON (IS) tuner near Pasadena

Might have a chance to pick up a friend's used turbo kit and he is not including his electronics. I need to know if anyone near Pasadena is authorized to tune either of these management systems, UTEC or FCON IS as I will be going with either one if everything goes well for me. Thanks.

As far as I know, GTM is the only tuner in SoCal that can tune the HKS FCon IS. I might be wrong but I haven't heard of anyone else that can do it.

Yah, they're who I found who is authorized to do a UTEC also. They're not THAT far from me, maybe a 30-40 min drive, but if things go well and i get my friends used turbo kit, I don't want to have to take it too far without a proper tune.

On a side note, if I drove the car with a turbo installed not tuned and kept it below a certain rpm where I would not boost, would it be ok?

Just a bit of advice. If you are gonna go to GTM, get the HKS FCon IS. Call and talk to Sam. He can get into a lot more detail than I can cuz he knows a lot more than I do about the two. But trust me, you won't regret it. I have the IS myself so I had to make the same choice as you. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with the UTEC at all. It is a very good EMU but the IS offers so much more than the UTEC. Like I said, just call and speak with Sam. Tell him that Hector with the Vortech'd G referred you.
