nice revival of a good thread... I went through a bunch of **** (not in a bad way) with my artist and a guest artist form Canada trying to get a VERY obscure idea on ink... both are VERY good and respected artists and both agree the "idea" was great, but neither could mange to put it in ink... it's a really conceptual piece that I don’t want to get into... but damn I'm itching for a new tat!!!!!!!!!

Funny... I worked in a corp ofc for 16 yrs then managed a branch ofc physically under corp for a yr... I'll never forget the director of ops (female) who hired me from a field position saw me smoking in the parking lot... next time I was in her office she was soooo baffled by me smoking. Verbatim: "I would have never guessed"... as if I was a junkie or something... I asked her point blank - "do you think differently of me?".... of course she said no (I suspect it was couldn’t afford the discrimination suite)... anyway - things were WAY different when she knew I smoked. Totally phucking stupid and BAD business.

I keep ‘em above sleeve as habit for biz… client/professional considerations… it the bad luck of the draw I got in the profession I’m in… gotta play the game – even though it’s retarded. I can run circles around people in my industry, including federal law… I’ve called technicalities on state and federal audits by knowing more that the officials doing the audits… I wonder what they would think if I had tats showing (like I would prefer)… Oh well. It’s unfortunate that “first impressions” are so important and “opinions” are based on stature.

So - will you still respect me in the morning WaLLY LMAO!~!!!

I've always wanted a tat but I couldn't pull the trigger! since the ones I want go on the forearm... wouldn't look good for business, and since I usually go to work without long sleeves 3 out of 5 days a week, that would be a problem..

As far as you getting tats... I guess if you think what you want belongs in a certain place then you know best... however, if it's meaningful to you it really doesn’t matter where you have it.

Paul Black at Outer Limits in Buena Park is the artist I use... kinda like Shawn Church does with tuning the car, he listens to what I want/need and make it happen.

To me having someone nail my thoughts in ink (or in car) is a rare find... I have a hard time just following trends I guess...
