lol three body shop quotes

Creative Autobody in SanGabriel - $1,206.59
M1 AutoBody El Monte - $1,465.03 [with $150 cushion added]
V&S AutoBody Buena Park - $1,350.00

will get 1 more quote from 2020 city of industry before I talk to this guy again.. he has the option of doing insurance or cash i really do not care (actually i'd prefer insurance so i can get a free loaner lol)

do prices really cost this much.. no I get a discount and obviously I make my own part but the customizing fees are going to rob me (and this guy bent my mount to my quarter panel) =(

How did he back into you? Unless both you and the other car parked in different spots from when he actually hit you, it looks like you were double parked behind him. If you were double parked, i'm not sure if he can take 100% of the blame. He could theoretically argue that you were illegally parked and he didn't expect you to be there. Ofcourse you can argue that he wasn't paying attention... but that's what i mean by he can't take 100% blame.

Eric, sorry to hear that man..
I've had my share of accidents and one was when my old truck was parked on the side of my house; someone came by and hit it as they lost control of the turn. Mine was parked legally at the curb. I was told by the police at the time when the report was made that any time a vehicle is parked and immobile, regardless of their placement, the 3rd party driver is 100% at fault if they hit your parked vehicle. Reason being, the other driver did not observe for possible hazards, execute a movement in a vehicle without taking precaution that the area was clear, and because he was the only moving vehicle; the parked vehicle obviously has no control over the matter.

Also, especially being that he was backing up, more safety precautions have to be made what I was told by my insurance (AAA); it's 99.99999% of the time person's fault who was backing up.

Again, sorry to hear that man and I hope you get this resolved asap and as smoothly as possible!
