To WideBody Or Not Too

I have a friend that got sponsored by this company, leaving names out dont wanna give away anything, his widebody kit for his car is ****ing sick. i did an install for them and they know Bat. Their sponsor for their widebody is looking for a G to do. They havent done one yet and are interested in using my car, near the summer. I didnt really get to much info yet since i just talked to him today, but he said it would be totally free etc. Im just seeing if this deal is to good to be true or not, but here are some pics of my friends celica.

i couldnt really take that many pics since they wanted to keep their car underneath the sheets until the dub show this past sunday...but just seeing what everyone on here thinks....and if someone is in L.A. and let me stay there for a month or 2 haha ill pay rent

Ryan you have to do what you feel is the best. That sounds like a great offer and I would really have to think hard and control my first impulse to jump into a widebody.
I like the custom widebodies versus the kits. There is more personal touches made and the fact nobody can just buy that custom widebody is awesome. Having the kit made on your car means You would have the first car with the kit installed and that would be cool. Bragging rights FTW!
I thought about going custom widebody. After talking to a few bodyshops AE,E310K,Gordon's I'm still on the fence about making the jump. I talked to various owners of widebodies and they all claim that If your car is a daily driver( driven more than a few miles a day) and if you are using the highway system a lot more can happen to the Kit or custom work more often. I will be driving about 140 miles a week again and well anything can be on the highway to cause damage. Think of what a piece of tire or ladder does to our cars now.
I'm still undecided. I hope this gives you another perspective. Good luck I hope this made any difference.

Yea i was figuring that. The G isnt my daily driver but i do get a few miles every weekend. But i figure they would want me to go to shows etc. for them just like my friend with the widebody celica. thats why i posted it up there i wanted to gage what other people would say. Yea it would be sick to be the first one with that custom body kit...bragging rights for while. But then again like you said using the highway and just driving it could cause more problems. Plus sometimes my parents take out the G haha ... ill seriously think more about it...i have until about summer time to come up with a decision if its a go or no

It also depends how aggressive or low the widebody is. As for my APR, the front+ cf splitter is to too low so my daily driving ride height with the Zeal Coilover is close to stock. Only problem I get with the widebody is too much damn attention on the road..haha..Best of luck on whatever you plan on doing and hopefully I'll have another widebody brother to chill with..

attention is a problem for you You got the wildest and at the same time cleanest G35 on this forum man, and I would love to have your problem someday... and G35, go widebody if the G is your weekend driver, if it's a daily... well hell I'd still go for it, but then again I'm biased, I like my girls and cars with big butts and I canNOT lie.... can't deny..... <br>

understood, and it's an obvious given when it's attention from the wrong people and wrong area, like if you driving through the hood or something, you might get people tryin to car jack you or follow you home or whatever...
but as long as you driving through downtown or somewhere that ain't hood, then you should be good to go.... and also the attention from cops too, you'll get that wherever you go
