yeah this winter is suppose to be dry too, so hopefully it will at least be cold for man made, but yeah mt hugh, bear mnt, and snow summit are the only socal places

bought a season pass to mt high it was only 350 till the other day then its 600, so ill prob be goin there alot hopefully it wil be ok

bought the ride DH last year and only got to use it once, cant wait ti use it this year, with ride ex bindings

 

good. hopfully by christmas there will be some good skiing

Ride Control w/ LX bindings. My first board.
Ride Bezerker DFC edition w/ Ride MIGs. 2nd board
Ride Buisiness w/ Beta Dayglow. 3rd board
Ride DH DFC edition w/ Ride Cads. 4th board.

Anyone want to buy the Business board. Its the Vendor edition. Very limited.

+1 for ride. i had last year's model burton custom x but never rode it. i loved my DH DFC too much...fun board to throw around, especially with a 151!

1st setup: Millenium M3 w/ Flow AMP5 bindings (never goin back to Flow again)
2nd setup: Same board w/ Ride LX bindings
3rd setup: Burton Custom X (never had a chance to ride before I sold it)
Current setup: Ride DH DFC w/ Ride Alpha bindings

 

oh and to the OP: if you're a beginner and you're looking for an easy place to start riding in SoCal, i would head to big bear. the slopes are pretty tame and i went with some buddies who've never been on a board before and they did fine coming off the lift and going down the slopes

 

yea i'm goin to take my gf and maybe my cousins to big bear. if that works out i may have to save up for a trip to NorCal.

any really cheap places to stay around Big Bear? like 15-20 min out or so?
i may have to hit up skidazzle too see if they offer some packaged deals.

 

^^stay in big bear, theres soooo many places to stay, go with 3-4+ people and it will be pretty cheap

 

That is the PREMIER spot to go snowboarding in Cali nowadays. I'm heading up there in January

 

snow jam is going on at del mar fair in san diego this weekend. they have discounted items for everything you need to have fun in the snow.

 

Plus.. you get a free Mt. High Lift ticket. I went Yesterday.

 

anyone know of any good places to stay in or near big bear mountian? i can't find anything.

 

cabins, theres hundreds, google it or go to expedia.com or something
