K&E Tire in El Monte

I know a few people have posted about their great pricing on tires...but has anyone ever got their aftermarket wheels mounted/unmounted there?

It's $15 for each tires to unmount/mount....want to know how their work is before I bring my rims there.

I got my tires mounted there before. They did a good job. I.E. they didn't scratch my rims when they put them on.

I was just thinking of side-swapping the tires because Richard just got new tires since his was worn down pretty bad...I checked mine out and they're getting kinda worn too so I wanna save some tire life

ya richie... richard went to my guy and they got a really good price...
you can ask him about his experience...with the mounting
you can also ask richard the number... you can tell my tire guy Glen sent you.. and just be specific about how much you care about your richie rims

I don't understand why you want to go all the way to K&E for this. It's not like their labor and customer service are all outstanding and stuff. They are more than adequate considering their tire prices. But I'd just go somewhere near my house if I was doing what you want to do....but...............

Are you sure you can swap out the tires. Aren't they one direction? I know that my Toyos are....therefore no rotating.

Why not post it so everyone else can patronize him also?

And are you sure he matches K&E prices?

K&E went up in price on some items...........

Set of 4 Toyo T1R 245/35/19 and 275/35/19 were ~780 + $60 mount and balance +~$60 tax so a total of $900 out the door. Can your guy even come close to that? The only one close I found is Tires Buy Mark, but about $40more, and horrible customer service.

Someone else pmed me with a supposed inside contact. All I did was waste my time to find out that place's cost for the Toyos was more than I was paying.

I'm sure Richie did not have the simple swap in mind. Left-to-Right dismount swap will still maintain the unidirectional treads. The only time that won't work is if the tires are asymmetrical AND only if the manufacturer distinguishes between inside and outside ONLY treads.

FYI, Toyo T1-series are not asymmetrical so they can be swapped w.o. any concerns.

Richie, Where is K&E Located? I live in EL Monte, and I think I might need to switch my tires soon. Can you tell me the cross streets or around where?

Or does anyone know a pretty good place to do that? I remember asking Infiniti how much it would cost to have them unmount and then swap the tires and then mount it back, they said it was about $300.00 dollars.
