I haven't heard from the CHP or my insurance company if they were able to find any information on those plates.

cross your fingers though.

alright, the adjuster called yesterday and the total damages were $4,445.

Should have the car within the next 2 weeks.

If you know the plate's number, I believe you can request the DMV to look them up. It costs a few dollars and I do think they inform the owner that someone requested info on their plate number but so what?

I get the feeling the police couldn't give a crap. I mean they could have looked up the plates right from the police car. At the scene. Might have taken 5 min.

I'll look into that.

The CHP officer did say they ran the plate number but couldn't come up with anything. They were going to request it from the Sacramento DMV and see if there were any records of it..

you should have requested an 07 G sedan rental in the mean time - and take it to the track Sat... I've been wanting to race one.

Glad you’re getting it fixed - don't except anything less than perfect when you get it back!

don't have rental car coverage since most of the time I've always had a second car - Si.

Hopefully I get it next week! And yup, I'll be sure to look at everything in broad daylight to make sure everything is in excellent shape.
