tint price

hi, there's a place close to my house in santa monica that does audio and tints, so i asked them to quote me to have my windows retinted, i'm guessing it'll b a little bit more? since they have to remove my current tint and apply the new ones. on top of that, i have bat overlays to apply: headlight overlay, spoiler light overlay, and clear corner overlays. they quoted me 300, am i getting ripped off? they use Greystone film

that seems like a good price... ive seen greystone on a car before and i liked that is is grey in color instead of the traditional charcoal. for pricing reference, i paid $400 for tint on my coupe(huper optik film).

I wouldn't pay more than $125 tops. I got mine done for $100.

Check out California Tint in Rosemead. Tell Peter that Eric with the G35 sent you. It should be about $110 for all 5 windows.

Not sure how much he charges to remove tint and don't think he does overlays, though. I'm sure a forum member would be happy to help you with the overlays.

$50 bucks for overlays install
$50 to remove tint
$200 to apply tint using greystone film

I think its a decent price...

that's about the right price in santa monica. you can save some money if you head to the tint shops in culver city or over near ktown.

anyone got their Tints done at Tint Connection, Culver city? I just talked to one of the owners and he quoted me 250 to remove old tint, apply new tint (3M film) and put on 5 pieces of overlays.

Do they do a good job?

I actually got my ex's Mazda6 tinted there back in 2004... still hasn't bubbled/discolored... a little on the pricier side (since it's on the westside), but they did a good job. I think price was $175 for all windows except windshield.
