BMW M6 open heart surgery at work

Just thought I would post this since we are all car fanatics here (Plus I havent made a thread in who knows how long). Im doing a VANOS Hydraulic Unit at work, on a 2007 M6 Coupe (aka e63 S85B50). This is the after math, with about give or take 3 hours into it. Will be done with it tomorrow. I LOVE MY JOB

Might I add .. this is all being done for a NOISE complaint

I wish I took pictures while I did my motor swap on a 335 coupe .. forgot my camera =(

Bank 2 with intake plenum, valve cover, VANOS Hydraulic Unit and other misc crap off

customer states loud metalic noise during a cold start up at idle ..

I checked the oil pressure at the main VANOS oil supply line .. checked good at 72 BAR , which i think was around 1400 PSI (someone correct me if im wrong)

Spoke with our dealers FSE, was told that another dealer had the same complaint, that dealer ended up doing the VANOS hydraulic unit and VANOS solenoids and fixed the problem.

so basicaly the hydraulic unit is not flowing oil properly
