About the ticket.

If COP (C) did not use any devices to determine if you have a tint or no then you can win this case with ease.


Send a written request for DISCOVERY to the court house and the prosecutors office via certified mail with return receipt.

When you get discovery back read it carefully. If C does not mention any devices then go to any local tint shop (better to the one that you know and trust) and have them make up fake certificate that your windows are not tinted.

Show up to court and tell them that C was on crack and your windows were not tinted. You tried to tell him that but he did not listen. And show certificate from the shop (do it in a professional way, also don't mention anything about crack )

Basically if C did not do any tests on you window to determine if it was tinted or not then there is nothing that proves that they are tinted.

 

Its his word against the cop and it would be in front of a referee (Judge). The referee is going to be obviously biased towards the cop. Fight it and win? I don't think so, unless the cop doesn't show. I'm sure the cop would show, because he's getting paid O/T to appear.

BTW, Devices to test tint? That's a bunch of B/S. As long as the cop can articulate that the front side windows were slightly dark (tinted) regardless of the shade, its still in violation of CVC 26708(a)(1).
