CA Emissions Regulations Change?
EPA denies California's right to mandate emissions
So, I tried searching this in the forums, but could not find a topic (by the way, sorry if this should be posted somewhere else).
Anyway....according to my poli sci teacher last night, he stated to us that the Bush Administration just passed some type of ruling no longer requiring vehicles to be 50-state legal as far as emissions go. He said that all kinds of environmental organizations are now ticked off, because vehicles now will no longer be required to have low-emissions standards, particularly in CA.
In my class, everyone was like "WTF
are you serious? that's horrible!" But, I was sitting in the back thinking, heck YEAH!!! TEST PIPES FTW BABY!!!
DOMO
Anyone know more about this?
Here's the related L.A. Times article:

From what I grasped, they are making so that the majority of cars produced will have to be over the 30 mpg range in fuel economy, however, in doing so they are getting rid of many emission standards, particularly California's strict regulations. That's what the teacher was saying last night anyway.
FI & SC FTMFW! lol
