I GOT MY FIRST TICKET ON THE CAR =[

Was just cruising a mountain, (going below speedlimit) with my friend's 240 and some explorer pulls us over

he tells me to pop my hood and all

And I got some ****tyyy ticket **** 1@#!@$!@# ___ T__T

"Modified Intake "Injen"
"Modified Exhaust" ?

what happensss what do I do... do you think injen intake and exhaust would pass emissions..

Someone help me seriously -_-

ouch that sucks Mike. Don't worry. I believe those are "correctable" violations. Just change it back to stock temporarily and get it signed off. Should be pretty cheap. Check on the ticket to see if he marked them as correctable. Which mountain were you cruising?

and I'm not exactly sure if they're street legal.. but I mean.. hey i've drove by cops plenty of times and never got a problem...

oh and we were on the azusa one which connected to gmr

hmm maybe he was being a dick. I got a ticket for modified exhaust before and that was correctable. I haven't gotten one for intake before, but those should be correctable though.

I mean.. I don't understand the correctable//noncorrectable thing.. if I'm suppose to get it signed off by the smog referee.. isn't it technically correctable -_-;

injen intake should have a carb legal number....just call them...but the exhaust isnt

I thought all Injens were made street legal? Is your exhaust super loud? They should not give you sh@# if it's below certain decibel and of course that you have to pass smog also.

If they're streat legal, get the certificates and/or the exception number.

Take that to court with you, and have it thrown out.

Afterwards, keep that documentation for the next tiem you get pulled over.

any aftermarket exhaust should pass the emissions test if the factory cats are in place.
