That's for sure. All you have to do is a little bit of searching to see how this is a problem. You MUST have hood pins with a cf hood.

Using a fiberglass or CF hood without hood pins is just foolish. There are those that will say something dumb like "I've had my CF hood for 3 years with no problems whatsoever." Just because it hasn't happened doesn't mean it won't or can't. Hood pins are a small price to pay for some insurance and peace-of-mind.

They're called Aerocatch hood pins. Can also be found at coastfab.com in Huntington Beach.

http://search.ebay.com/search/search...tch&category0=

aerocatch FTW!

4 months is nothing. Yourr hood is still new. after time, it'll structurally weaken with road vibration and wind resistance and then your latch will give and your hood will fly into your windshield.

I got out of the car to realize my fenders were destroyed in the area by the windshield and my hood was completely ****ed up.Some how the wind shield didnt break but i am so lucky this was on a side street going slow versus being on the freeway.

Im just really pissed because i called a pretty reputable company that many drivers by their after market body kits from to buy some hood pins from them. I was told that i wouldnt need them because seibon is a reputable company and u really only need it for going 100 mph+

So let this be a lesson to everyone! Please buy hood pins for your hoods because i dont want to see someone killed by this type of bs...Someone was definitely looking over me tonight thank god
Dude you woke me up out of a dead sleep last night when you called me. I still can't believe that $hit happened!! Drove by your house today to see the damage, but the car was in the garage. Call me on Sat when you get into SC. Glad you and your girl are ok.

Because of you I'm buying my hood pins tomorrow.
