Very true. I'm hoping I can find a low milage (low 100,000's) 1991-1993 240SX with the interior being in decent condition. But its not easy

yep.

no more insurance on the g.
no more sh!tty 17mpg on the g.
less wear and tire on the g's tires (-3 camber up front eats 'em up quick)
the g wont get KEYED again

^^ What's the point in keeping it if you aren't going to drive it? It's not an exotic, it will still depreciate the same.

point is it's going to get keyed up and down all around. it happens to every "nice" car around my school unless it's garaged.

i'd rather it sit at home where it's safe and sound so i can come home to drive it in good condition than leave it at school where i rarely drive anyway yet have it vulnerable to drunk kids thatll hit it backing up or key it again.

who said anything about me worrying about it depreciating?

i just want an "okay" car to drive around school that i dont care too much about.

Yes, having a DD is worth it without a doubt. Not only do you get significantly better MPG with them, you don't have to worry about taking them to sh!tty areas where you know a G35 shouldn't belong. (There are many places like that in SoCal). And it also lets you avoid excessive milage on little things a DD can do more than fine.

PS. I only get ~17 MPG

.

Exactly... that's why I'm looking for one to take to downtown B'more - not a nice area

similar thoughts.........thats why i still might sell my G, buy a beater and re-buy a hooked up G after I buy my house.......my car is outside and driving it everywhere........man it hurts me to see my car like this.....

people see a nice car and it attracts them.......
