What can I use to stick the mesh to the bumper?

Yes I have. And every one I tried didn't stick metal to plastic quick enough. The metal mesh is very rigid.

Besides, the screws did the job alot better

try that JB weld stuff (its not JB Weld, but similar)... its putty that you manipulate then mold onto the surfaces you are trying to mate... it dries like steel! It can be sanded and painted (but since you'll use it on the inside thats not necessary)...

I used it for the bottom Billet inserts when I had OEM bumper (but I used 2 screws too)... You can get it at Auto Zone, Pep Boys, etc... It will bond metal to plastic (and just about any other material)...
