Watch out melrose shoppers, I just got a no front plate ticket, the meter was full, my diagnosis, the maid's wife was cheating on him and the guy happened to drive a red car so the next day he used what little authority he had to get me.....

$25 and i just got a no plate/tints/exhaust/tail light tints ticket like a week ago

since when is it illegal to have a passion for the automobile, hector, now i feel ya for havin that plate hahahahaha

so cal authority ftl
Well I was in West LA at the French Consulate bldg. I was lucky enough to get a parking spot right in front of the bldg. Checked the sign no street cleaning that day another car was parked behind my truck so I was all set. WRONG! Apperently when I parked my truck my bumper was sticking out 6 inches into the red zone of the curve. Of course I didnt have any front plates cus in Riverside no one cares if you dont have one. So to make a long story short one ticket was 35 and the other war for 75. I should have just parked in the parking structure and payed the 10 bucks. That will teach me from being cheap...lol!

the topic of this thread is melrose meter maids handing out useless tickets. we're all providing examples of this. we're not off topic, you just don't want to discuss it. that's your prerogative, just please respect our desire to keep the discussion open

The Game we play....!

I haven't run a front license plate on any of my cars since, well a very long
time....got a speeding, tint and no plate ticket in '91 on the 210 freeway.
That was the last one, needless to say I'll stay away from Melrose. Tint
and not running a front plate is a game most of us play....sometimes you
win and then once in a while one of us gets nailed....glad it wasn't me!

crybabies. a law is a law and you broke it quit bitahing. so what if it's "useless"? just because YOU find it to be stupidly useless, doesnt mean u can break it. i think useless tards like some people should be burned alive. and its not like only melrose hands out that kind of tickets. go ask ur parents for some money if you cant afford it.

I was parked in a 2 hour spot, but just barely went over.. ran to my car and as I pulled out the meter maid sped up and blocked my way as I was pulling out, and said "I can either give you the ticket now or send it to you in the mail".. in hindsite I should have written her badge number down and file for harrassment.. I was in the car already and it was in motion.. she could have caused an accident

Garyc, i agree with ya! personally i feel tints are more of a subscription than a lifetime thing, im goin for my 3rd installment soon, but with road rage worse than ever id rather chill behind my limo tints.

My opinion...meter maids should not be giving tickets other than meter violations! If a violation disrupts their scope of duty such as blocking the VIN#, fine cite them for it but equipment violation....come on?!?

fyi...meter maids have no authority to direct traffic on any public roads yet they do it. What's going to happen if they get hit by a passer? They were doing something not authorized to do.
