Went there today to get my brother a sound systems they advertised for $187 in the paper, after we got their they said total would be $550 after installation and they wouldnt budge for ish, or sell just the system alone. He had even mentioned to my brother that "You cant out hustle a hustler" and "$500 is lowest hell go) After about an hour and a half of debate, he agreed to $475 out the door along with me getting my windows tinted because we used that as another discount ploy as i needed my windows tinted. They quoted me at $135 out the door for Solarguard 7% tint lifetime warranty, etc, etc. So i figured it was a good deal since its near me and we were there anyways. So we get the system done, sounds awesome especially being its an old car with speakers blown and all and they tell me they were finishing a car, and mine would be up in 15 mins and it would take about two hours. So we leave in my bros car since they would call us when it was done. Mind you we leave at about 1:15. Two hours later i call to ask for update, my car hasnt even moved where i left it. Supposedly they had a guy who had an appt. so he had priority. So they say it will be done by 7 for sure (which is when they close) so come back then. So its now 6:30 and we are on our way there and they call to let me know that its not going to be done but they can keep it overnight and first thing tomorrow. Now im pissed and demand a refund which when we get their they say we are lucky because they usually dont do refunds but in my case is an exception. So i take the money, grill em about having my car half the day and not doing it, and then leave. So pretty much sat around a whole day for nothing. Cali Tint here i come on Tuesday.

Crazy Stereo, horrible customer service, had my car half a day couldnt get it tinted, waste of time. Dont ever go there. The end. Vent over...

That's why I go to top of the line shops that charge the most and have a reputable rep haha Plus I use to work at a stereo shop selling audio/rims/tints so I know exactly what happens. To the O.P your car wasn't done because their tint guy didn't come in, they probably call a portable tint guy that comes in and does the work for them, but he didn't show, my shop went through the same thing. Plus extra hrs on your car is fine, while installation anything can happen and anything can lag the process, so if a shop lags on you theres no point to get over-mad unless they didn't start at all, which in your situation is what happened. Crazy Stereo is some ghetto shop in Santa Ana, I don't care if its FV, that area is Santa Ana, across the st. is Santa Ana, its a ghetto a$$ place with ghetto a$$ shops, my homie owned a shop across the st. from crazy stereo. You shouldn't be driving down harbor looking for good quality work Stereo shops are nothing but hustling.

 

^yeah thats what i figured. We were only drawn in for the price of the stereos and figured they were gonna rape us with install fee. But my brother did get a really good system for a good price after checking around other places. And California Tint i was quoted at $120 for all 5 using 7% tint of whatever they use so the price wasnt too much different from this place.

 

is the stuff new? coz those guys sell CRAP! refurb, old stock etc...
pretty much all the shops in harbor are owned by the same guys.
these guys advertise a ton of stuff on pennysaver. Different prices for the same stuff

 

Yeah all of it was brand new. We made sure to have them show us exactly what they were putting in, the boxes for everything, etc, etc.

 

After working with tints that cost around that much for so long now and days I go to a tint shop that charges an average of 250+ for a job to do my personal car haha Yeah Crazy Stereo is ghetto don't ever go there haha, my suggestion is Beach Auto Sound in HB, rated one of the best 50 stereo shops in the U.S, chargers the most but does good quality work with using high quality products.

 

that blows, good looking. i hate shops like that.
