California Police Officers I have a tint question for you
How long will you be here? What part of CA? As long as you don't stick out like a sore thumb (have an extreme body kit, drive like an @$$, etc.), then you shouldn't have any trouble. Most cops won't pull you over just for tint, unless they are in a p!ssy mood or something.[/QUOTE]
Ha well for at least a year right now. im moving out there for college but all my stuff is going to stay registered for texas so there is no way anyone could prove that i wasnt living there. Dishonest i know but if its gonna save me 300 bucks worth of tint it seems kinda worth it

honestly bro, don't even worry about it, 75% of people in cali have tint on the front windows, if a cop is gonna pull someone over for tint, they have more than enough californians to hand tickets out to, i don't think they would waste their time with someone from out of state. Unless you did something else to get pulled over, then he might just tack that on for the *** of it.

Like the others said, first - don't give them a reason to pull you over. Second, if you are pulled over, kiss azz and try real hard to sound remorseful. Third, don't be a d!ck or they will really teach you a lesson.
Remember - they can ticket you for ANYTHING they feel like, possibly impound your car depending on the mods. I mean ANYTHING. Once you are pulled over, the outcome is entirely up to you. They can even give you a fix it ticket for a stock car. The idea is for YOU to take the time to deal with the mix-up in court.
Yes, I'm related to a cop.

on the money here.
I have been told by cops that the only issue they have with tint is when they pull someone over and can not see into the vehicle.
Advice I have gotten and has worked for not getting a ticket is to roll your windows down and turn on your cabin lights, especially at night. Cooperation in making their job easier/safer goes a long way in the long run.
